There are two distinct situations where design & engineering work makes sense.
Developing a new concept for the first store?
We work alongside the architect or designer from the start, advising on materials and construction details before decisions are locked in. By developing production and design in parallel, you arrive at the build phase with certainty on budget, construction and production, without compromising the design as intended. We call this creative engineering.
Rolling out an existing concept, or updating one?
When a concept that works for one location needs to be reproduced across ten or twenty stores, per-unit costs often become a problem. The same applies when a brand wants to refresh an existing interior. We look at what can be done differently: materials, construction methods, production approach. Based on engineered designs, we produce custom furniture and interior elements through a trusted manufacturing network that we manage directly. We have production partners across the Netherlands, Western and Central Europe, Turkey, China and North America. And we visit those factories ourselves, not as a formality.
Because we lead production directly, we ensure consistency across locations, predictable lead times and furniture that is ready for installation.
